Paul Moore — Acting Teacher, Mentor & Creative Leader
Paul Moore is a leading acting teacher and on-camera performance coach working across Geelong and Melbourne. With over a decade of teaching experience, Paul has helped actors of all levels build confidence, develop screen presence, master audition technique, and strengthen their storytelling skills. His teaching blends industry-tested acting methods with a modern, practical approach to film, TV, and digital media performance.
Welcome to the Paul Moore Teaching Hub, the beating heart of my work as an acting teacher, creative coach, mentor, and storyteller. For more than a decade I’ve dedicated my life to helping performers unlock their full potential — on stage, on screen, and in life. My approach blends the craft of acting with industry-tested techniques, emotional intelligence, and a deep belief in the power of storytelling.
Through workshops, private coaching, and on-set performance direction, I help actors develop the skills they need to thrive in the ever-evolving world of film, television, and digital media. Whether you’re preparing for your first audition, aiming to sharpen your screen presence, or ready to elevate your storytelling, this is where your next chapter begins.
A Teacher Who Lives the Craft — On Set and On Stage
As a working Australian actor, writer, director, and producer, I bring more than theory into the classroom — I bring real-world experience. My teaching style is built on practical tools, creative exercises, and industry insights that actors can immediately apply in auditions, rehearsals, and on set.
I’ve had the privilege of coaching performers on productions like Rostered On, Winners & Losers, and Random Aussies, as well as training emerging talent for commercial work, theatre productions, and independent films. Each class is designed to build confidence, authenticity, and craft — from audition technique and improvisation to character development, emotional connection, and screen technique.
Stashamo High” — From Teacher to Filmmaker
One of the most exciting chapters in my teaching journey is the creation of my original feature film, Stashamo High — a project that blends my passion for acting, storytelling, and mentorship into one ambitious production.
In Stashamo High, I play a teacher — a role that mirrors my real-life dedication to education and creative leadership. But this project is much more than a performance. I wrote, produced, and directed the entire film, building it from the ground up as a platform to showcase local talent and give my students a real-world opportunity to work on a feature-length production.
The film will premiere on my own independent streaming platform, a space dedicated to original Australian storytelling and emerging creative voices. For my students, Stashamo High is more than a movie — it’s a launching pad for their careers and a living example of what’s possible when passion and perseverance meet opportunity.
A Teaching Career Built on Creativity & Connection
Teaching isn’t just something I do — it’s at the core of who I am. Over the years I’ve worked with actors of every level: from beginners discovering their voice to seasoned professionals fine-tuning their technique. My workshops and one-on-one sessions focus on:
Character Development: Building believable, layered characters grounded in truth and emotion.
Screen Acting Technique: Mastering camera work, eyelines, subtlety, and performance precision.
Audition Coaching: Preparing actors to walk into the room with confidence and clarity.
Ensemble Work: Learning the power of listening, reacting, and storytelling as part of a team.
Improvisation & Creativity: Unlocking spontaneity, play, and instinctive performance choices.
My students consistently book work across film, television, theatre, and digital platforms — and many return to continue developing their craft long after their first success.
Comedy, Creativity & Community
My teaching doesn’t stop at the classroom or the film set — it’s even taken me to the stage. I perform stand-up comedy inspired by my experiences as an acting teacher, blending sharp wit, real-life stories, and behind-the-scenes insights into the performing arts industry.
This unique perspective — part coach, part comedian, part storyteller — keeps my teaching authentic, relatable, and full of humanity. I’m also currently planning a nationwide comedy tour with a very special charity partner (to be announced soon), using humour and performance to raise awareness and support for causes close to my heart.
The Next Generation of Storytellers Starts Here
For me, teaching isn’t just about technique — it’s about transformation. It’s about helping actors discover their power as storytellers and their potential as artists. It’s about building confidence, nurturing creativity, and shaping performances that move people.
Whether you’re based in Geelong, Melbourne, or anywhere across Australia, my classes and coaching programs are designed to help you grow — as a performer, as a creative, and as a human being.
